Literati Library does not collect any personal information from you, unless you choose to provide details when you contact us through our contact form, by email, or by post.

Literati Library may use a 'cookie' - a piece of information passed between our server and your web browser, to identify your requests as separate from those of other web site visitors. This allows us to track items you place in a virtual 'shopping basket'. We do not associate this 'cookie' with your name, email address or other personal information.

Protection under Canadian Law

Any personal information you provide to Literati Library is regulated by Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.. Your personal information is used only for the purpose of responding to any email, website, postal, fax or telephone query you make, or operating a publishing agreement if you later choose to enter into such a written agreement. Your information is not disclosed to any third parties except as explicitly permitted by this Act or authorised by you. You have the right to know what personal information Literati Library holds about you, and to request correction of any errors or omissions therein. Responses to Enquiries

Literati Library provides advice on queries submitted to us relating to literary services other than publishing with us on an 'as available' and 'best effort' basis. When the best response to such a query is to refer your query to another organisation which directly provides the services enquired about, we may do so providing said organisation provides equal or stronger protection of your privacy.

Amazon, Powells, CafePress.com, and other sites.

Our site contains hyperlinks to other sites, including retailers of Literati Library products. These sites have their own privacy policies, and may be subject to different legal jurisdictions. We may make arrangements with retailers which allow you to add Literati Library products to a virtual 'shopping basket' while visiting our site, and then transfer your basket to the retailer's site to complete your purchase. To do this, we pass a unique identifier for your basket, and the details of the products you have placed in your basket to the retailer. We do not send any personal information to the retailer. The retailer will ask you for personal information to arrange payment and deliver your goods.

Authors and Agents.

Literati Library does not share any information regarding manuscript submissions with other persons, companies or entities unless we have expressed an interest in publishing the work. We do not request information regarding the author from other companies when considering a work for publication, though we may review previously published works by the author and other information about the author already published elsewhere. When preparing a manuscript for publication, Literati Library may engage the services of other persons or companies for editing, proofreading, formatting and other task related to book production. When a work is published, the author's name and, where agreed, other biographical information, will be published, used in publicity and disseminated under the terms of the Publishing Agreement, unless anonymity has been arranged.
